10K and 5K We Run Rome regulations
31 December 2025 - 14th Edition

Atleticom SSD.r.L. organizes the 14th edition of We Run Rome on Wednesday 31 December 2025, national-level road running event, a competitive over the distance of 10 km and non-competitive over the distances of 10 and 5 km, which takes place under the aegis of FIDAL and included in the national calendar.
It enjoys the patronage of CONI, Sport and Health, Roma Capitale and the Lazio Region.

By registering for the race, the Athlete declares that he has read and fully accepts these regulations .

The competition regulations may undergo changes based on the provisions of the competent institutions and in compliance with state and federal regulations (FIDAL), therefore, we invite all participants to consult them and always stay updated.
Any changes will be appropriately communicated to registered athletes via the event website www.werunrome.com or via the event's official social pages. 

1 – Meeting

The We Run Rome village will be open from 10:00 am in the area adjacent to the ‘Nando Martellini’ Terme di Caracalla Stadium. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the various stands of the event partners and to taste the proposals of the food trucks present.
The start of the competitive and non-competitive 10 km race will be given in Via delle Terme di Caracalla at 14:00. The 5 km non-competitive race will start a few minutes later.

2 – Competitive 10K Participation Requirements

Athletes Registered in Italy
According to the provisions of the "Regulations for the Organization of Events" issued by FIDAL, the competitive event is reserved for Italian/foreign athletes who are 16 years of age or older (thousandth of age), with the following requirements :

  1. Athletes registered for 2025 with companies affiliated with FIDAL who have reached the age of 16;

  2. Athletes registered with a Sports Promotion Organization (Athletics section), recognized by CONI, in possession of an EPS Runcard - runcard.com (valid as sports insurance and permission to compete), limited to athletes aged 20 and over (thousandth of age); participation is in any case subject to:

    The presentation of a medical certificate of competitive fitness specific for athletics, valid on the date of the event, which must be uploaded at the time of registration . The medical certificate for non-resident foreigners can be issued in their own country, but the same tests required by Italian law must have been carried out: a) medical examination; b) complete urinalysis; c) electrocardiogram at rest and after effort; d) spirography.

  3. Athletes in possession of Runcard FIDAL - runcard.com (valid as sports insurance and permission to compete), limited to athletes who have reached the age of 20 (thousandth of age), participation is in any case subject to :

    The presentation of a certificate specific competitive fitness doctor for athletics, valid on the date of the event, which must be uploaded at the time of registration. The medical certificate for non-resident foreigners can be issued in their own country, but the same tests required by Italian law must have been carried out: a) medical examination; b) complete urinalysis; c) electrocardiogram at rest and after effort; d) spirography.
  4. Disabled athletes registered for 2025 with clubs affiliated to one of the following Paralympic Sports Federations recognised by the CIP (Italian Paralympic Committee):

    - FISPES (Italian Federation of Paralympic and Experimental Sports);

    - FSSI (Federazione Sport Sordi Italia).

    In this case, athletes must present a copy of their valid membership card (2025), or a declaration of membership on club letterhead with stamp and signature of the president.

    For safety reasons related to the conformation of the route in the City, handbike athletes are not allowed to participate, whether they are UCI, FCI, EPS or for other recognised organisations or even non-members.

    Foreign athletes wishing to take part in the event must comply with current Italian legislation on health protection and compulsory insurance cover. In the event of registration of athletes in an Olympic wheelchair with a declared race time of less than 1h30', the organisation reserves the right to provide for a controlled pace, as the city course will be closed to traffic according to the passage times.

    Pursuant to FIDAL regulations , participation in the competitive race with only the competitive medical certificate is not permitted .

Athletes Registered Abroad
Italian athletes registered abroad who are at least 16 years old (thousandths of age) on the date of the event can participate, with the following requirements:

  1. Athletes in possession of Runcard FIDAL - runcard.com (valid as sports insurance and permission to compete), limited to athletes who have reached the age of 20 (thousandth of age), combined with a medical certificate of competitive fitness specific for the athletics practice, valid on the date of the event, which must be uploaded upon registration. participation is however subject to:

3 – Participation Requirements 10 and 5Km Non-Competitive

The recreational motor event includes two non-competitive tests on distances of 10 km and 5 km respectively.

For the 10 km race, anyone aged 14 years or over on the date of the event may register.  For the 5 km non-competitive race there are no age limits; children up to the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.

For the participation of minors, a special authorisation form signed by a parent/legal guardian must be completed and uploaded during registration. The form can be downloaded online directly during the registration phase or can be requested by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. Registration for the event implies the tacit declaration of self-certification of physical fitness for the practice of ‘non-competitive’ sporting activity in accordance with the relevant regulations in force and therefore exempts the organisers from requesting a medical certificate.

The participant relieves the Organising Committee and its partners of all responsibility regarding his or her physical fitness to take part in the event and of all liability, both civil and criminal, for damage to persons and/or property caused by him or her or caused to him or her by participation in the race. He also declares that he grants his authorisation to use any of his images relating to his participation in the event for any legitimate use without remuneration.

Participation with hand-pushed wheelchairs is permitted in the non-competitive events, while bicycles or any other means of transport are not permitted.

For the 10 km non-competitive race there is no ranking list, but only an alphabetical list with the athlete's chronometric result.
For the 5 km non-competitive race, there is no timekeeping and no ranking.

4 – Registrations

Registration can be done online on the www.werunrome.com portal until December 29th.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to close registrations early or accept new ones after the closing date, at its sole discretion.

Registrations are open to the first 8.000 athletes who have finalised their registration with payment.

The amount of the registration fee will vary according to the reference period, with priority given to those who register early.

If any bibs remain available, registration will be possible in person on the bib collection days and on the day of the event itself. 
Any availability will be communicated on the website www.werunrome.com or via the event's social accounts.

REGISTRATION FEES

   10 Km Competitive (until 2.500 bibs are sold out)

  • €18.00 until 30 June;
  • €20.00 from 1° July to 31 August;
  • €22.00 from 1° September to 10 November;
  • €25.00 from 11 November to 14 December;
  • €28.00 from 15 to 29 December.

10km Non-Competitive

  • €18.00 until 30 June;
  • €20.00 from 1° June to 31 August;
  • €22.00 from 1° September to 10 November;
  • €25.00 from 11 November to 14 December;
  • €28.00 from 15 to 29 December. 
     

5 Km Non Competitive (for all ages)

  • €15.00 until 31 August;
  • €18.00 from 1 September to 14 December;
  • €20.00 from 15 December to 29 December.

GROUP REGISTRATIONS (not companies)

PARTICIPATION OF ATHLETES WITH DISABILITIES

The event is open to people and athletes with disabilities, who can participate free of charge. We invite you to contact the secretariat at the email and telephone numbers indicated above.

Age of participation in the three types of races:

10 K Non-Competitive

It is possible to participate from 14 years old and up (born in 2011)

5 K Non-Competitive

It is open to everyone without age limit

10K Competitive

It is possible to participate from 16 years of age and older (born in 2009) in good standing with the FIDAL or RUNCARD FIDAL/EPS membership

4.1 – Modification of Registrations

It will be possible to change one's registration from Non-Competitive to Competitive free of charge until Monday 1 December, from 2 to 21 December, a secretarial fee of € 5.00 will have to be paid for each change of registration.
It will not be possible to make changes to registrations from 22 December to the day of the event.

4.2 - Checking Entries

You will be able to check the status of your registration by going to the registration port and entering your registration ID and the e-mail you used during registration.

4.3 - Card Verification

FIDAL memberships will be verified by the Organising Committee directly from the federation's archives from November.
The registration lead is linked to the FIDAL database; therefore, validations will be carried out automatically if the membership and medical certificate are in order.
Athletes with a 2025 membership and a medical certificate expiring before 31/12/2025 will have their registration not validated until the President of the club updates the certificate valid on the FIDAL portal on the date of the race.
Athletes with Runcard FIDAL/EPS membership are obliged to upload on the registration portal their medical certificate valid on the date of the event in order to have their registration validated.

5 – Participation fee

For all athletes of the competitive and non-competitive tests (from Km 5 and 10) the registration fee includes:

  • race bib;
  • RTC insurance;
  • medical and technical assistance;
  • official shirt of the event ( while supplies last );
  • refreshment along the route and upon arrival;
  • chronometric service (provided only for the 10 km);
  • bag storage service;
  • any products and/or opportunities offered by sponsors;
  • medal for all finishers ( while supplies last ).

6 – Registration and Payment Methods

Registration is done online on the website www.werunrome.com
You can proceed with payment using a method of your choice between:

  • electronic payment through: credit card, prepaid cards and PayPal;
  • bank transfer made out to Atleticom ASD - IBAN IT10U0878739220000000040795 - Banca di Credito Cooperativo della Provincia Romana – reason: We Run Rome 2025 registration (name).
  • At the LBM Sport and Footworks stores:

Cumulative transfers can also be made for multiple athletes, in which case the names of all those to whom the payment is affiliated must be included in the reason for payment. Registration will only be effective upon receipt of the bank transfer credit.

7 – Refund of participation fee and transfer

Registration fees are not refundable under any circumstances.
If a registered athlete is unable to participate in We Run Rome 2025, he or she can transfer the registration to another athlete by communicating all the necessary data and documentation of the incoming athlete to the address This email address is being protected from spambots. 7.1 Transfer of registration to another Athlete

The transfer of an entry for those who have already completed their registration will be free of charge until 1 December. From 2 to 21 December, a secretarial fee of €5.00 will be charged for each transfer.
It will not be possible to transfer registrations from 22 December to the day of the event.

7.2 Transfer to 2026

It is possible to postpone one's registration to 2026 until 21 December, until 1 December the postponement is free of charge, from 2 to 21 December the postponement will be possible upon payment of € 5.00 for secretarial fees. From 22 December to the day of the event, it will no longer be possible to postpone your registration.

Registrants who had already deferred their registration in 2024 will not be able to defer it any further.

8 – Company Registrations

Clubs with a minimum of 10 participants may send their list in EXCEL format including the data of the participating athletes. To request the standard file to be completed, please send an email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

For clubs with fewer than 10 participants, it will be mandatory to register directly online at www.werunrome.com.

9 – Company Payment

The registration manager of the club with a minimum of 10 participants must send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. enclosing a single payment for all athletes in the club. Together with the bank transfer account must send the list of athletes in excel format for whom has made the payment.

10 – Bib and Race Packet collection

All information on the race venue, race bib and race kit collection days and times will be announced in the first half of December.

Only and exclusively non-residents in Rome and foreign participants will have the additional possibility of collecting their bibs on Wednesday 31 December from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stadio delle Terme di Caracalla.

Collection will also be possible by proxy, in which case the proxy must be in possession of the registration receipt and a copy of the participant's ID.

N.B. Any changes to the Venue days and times will be promptly communicated on the event's social channels, by email and in the race regulations.

11 – Collect your bib and race pack

All information on the location, days and times of bib and race kit collection will be announced in the first half of December.

Each club that has sent in its own entry list will have to designate a contact person who will collect the bibs and race packs for the entire team. Independently registered companies wishing to collect the bibs of more than 5 athletes must make an appointment by sending an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

For company delivery, it is necessary to present a cumulative proxy containing the names of all the athletes for whom the bibs are to be collected, with a copy of the delegate's ID attached.
The bib and race pack cannot be collected individually by athletes belonging to clubs that have registered cumulatively.

It will be possible on the day of the event from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. to collect one's own bib and race pack only for clubs resident outside the province of Rome, at the Terme di Caracalla stadium.

N.B. Any changes to the location, days and times of pick-up will be promptly communicated on the event's social channels, by email and in the race regulations.

12 – Bib number

The race bib number is strictly personal, cannot be tampered with and is not transferable to anyone, subject to notification of the change of name, as it is specifically associated with the athlete registered for the event. Bib numbers will be assigned at the sole discretion of the Organising Committee, only to athletes whose registration is complete with payment of the fee. Once a bib number has been assigned, it will not be possible to change it.

13 – Bib Number Assignment Criteria

Bib numbers will be assigned at the sole discretion of the Organising Committee.
The ‘personal best times’ declared at the time of registration after verification will be taken into account for the allocation.
The times declared must relate to official certified 10 km races between 2023 and 2025. Time results in non-certified races will not be taken into account.

Athletes with personal bests of less than 35‘ (men) and 40’ (women) or less than 40‘ (men) and 45’ (women), and who indicate this when registering by 5 December, will be reserved a bib number corresponding to the starting grid in line with their times, exclusively for the first 200 men and 100 women.
The bibs dedicated to the first grid (non-elite) will be subject to availability and will not be guaranteed after 5 December.

Top athletes or their companies must apply for a bib number for entry to the top runner grid at the time of registration. For the allocation of the bib numbers, the Organising Committee will carry out the relevant checks, so if there is no actual match on the declared times, no numbers will be allocated in the top grid.

Top Elite are women and men in possession of bib numbers from number 1 to 20.

14 – Composition of Starting Grids

The composition of the starting grids is as follows:

  • Top Athletes
  • Competitive athletes with personal bests of less than 35' (men) and 40' (women)
  • Competitive athletes with personal bests of less than 40' (men) and 45' (women)
  • Competitive athletes with personal bests exceeding 40' (men) and 45' (women)
  • Athletes 10 km Non-Competitive
  • Athletes 5 km Non-Competitive

The assignment of bibs for the competitive race will be at the sole discretion of the Organizing Committee.

15 – Start of the races

The start of the competitive and non-competitive 10 km race will be at the same time, in Via delle Terme di Caracalla at 2.00 pm. The 5 km race will start a few minutes later.

The disabled athletes of the categories who will use mechanical wheeled vehicles (wheelchairs) will start in a group in the dedicated wave at the start of the race (1.55 pm).

Registered blind or visually impaired athletes (FISPES or FISDIR), if they have a guide with them, will start in the grids and waves of assignment based on the declared time.

The referee of the racing jury will check that all the leading athletes are wearing the bib and that they are equipped with the lanyard to guide the athletes; There is no change of guide along the route.

The maximum time to complete the race is 90', after this time further traffic blocking is not guaranteed . 

16 – Elite Athletes

The competing athletes considered elite by the Organization will be identified by the color of their bib. The first 20 bibs will be reserved for the elite group.


17 – Individual Awards

The first 3 men and the first 3 women to reach the finish line of the competitive test will be awarded prizes. The first 3 classified in each category foreseen by FIDAL will also be rewarded for the competitive test. The first 3 men and the first 3 women in the overall ranking and the athletes holding bib numbers from 1 to 30 are excluded from the category awards.

Gun Time will be considered to determine the final ranking.

There are no awards for non-competitive races.

18 – Awards

At the end of the race inside the Baths of Caracalla Stadium, the overall awards ceremony will take place, i.e. the first 3 men and the first 3 women who reach the finish line of the competitive test will be awarded. Category awards will not take place, the relevant discount codes will be sent directly when registration opens to the winners' email addresses.
There are no awards for non-competitive tests. 

19 – Company Awards

The We Run Rome joins the Grand Slam of Running City of Rome which includes the following events:

  • January 19 Miguel's race
  • April 13 Rome Appia Run
  • November 1st Race of the Saints
  • November 9 Rome 15 K
  • December 14 Rome Urbs Mundi
  • December 31 Atleticom We Run Rome

The club ranking will be drawn up on the basis of the sum of the number of arrivals at the four competitive events. Those registered who will take part in the non-competitive tests connected to the events are therefore excluded. The clubs will enter the ranking if at least 10 athletes reach the finish line in each of the events. The companies ranked first by the sum of the athletes arriving in the competitive trials of the four competitions will receive the following prize money:

Company ranking for companies outside the Lazio region:

The company ranking for companies outside the region of Lazio will be drawn up on the basis of the sum of the number of participants in five out of six competitive events. Entries taking part in the non-competitive events linked to the events are therefore excluded.

Clubs will be ranked if at least 10 athletes arrive at the finish line in each of the six events.

The relevant prizes will be distributed in January 2026.

20 – Absolute prize pool

Prizes will be awarded to the first three men and the first three women at the finish line of the competitive event with the following cash prizes:

The disbursement of the cash prizes will be paid within 90 days from the date of the event. Gun Time will be taken into consideration for the awarding of the prize money. No cash prize (or similar case: generic value vouchers, bonuses, wages, expense reimbursements of any kind and for any reason) can be provided for athletes in the categories Rookies, Juniors, Cadets, Students, for "Runcard" holders. , “Runcard EPS”.

An extra bonus of €1,000.00 is expected for athletes who improve the event record.

23 – Refreshments

For the competitive and non-competitive 10 km race, two refreshment points are provided, an intermediate one at the 5th km and a final one at the finish line. For the 5 km race, refreshments will be provided upon arrival. 

24 – Bag storage and changing rooms

At the We Run Rome village there will be special stands where you can leave your personal belongings, we recommend that you do not leave valuable objects in the same stands: the organization will not be liable for any deficiencies.

There will be two changing rooms, one for men and one for women.

25 – Health Service

Health facilities will be placed along the entire race route and at the finish line.

26 – Privacy Policy

The personal data, the provision of which is mandatory for the purposes of registering with We Run Rome, will be processed pursuant to and for the purposes of the provisions of the art. 13 of the European Regulation 2016/679 regarding the protection of personal data ("GDPR") and the National Privacy Legislation. The same data indicated at the time of registration are used to prepare the list of participants, the rankings, for historical archive, to carry out the services declared in the regulation and to send information material and commercial from Atleticom We Run Rome or its partners . At any time the interested party can consult, modify, delete their data free of charge by writing to the person responsible for processing personal data at Atleticom SSD.r.L, Piazza Giacomo Matteotti 3, 00010 Montelibretti (RM).

27 – Image Rights

By registering for We Run Rome, the athlete expressly authorizes the Organizing Committee, the sponsors, third parties operating on his behalf and the media partners to use, free of charge, the still or moving images that may portray him during his participation in the race, on all media, including promotional and/or advertising materials, throughout the world and for the entire maximum time established by the laws, regulations and treaties in force, including any extension that may be made to the foreseen period.

28 – Timing and Rankings

The timing service and the processing of the rankings will be provided by an external company and the same are validated by the Technical Delegate Judge/Appellate Judge.
The chip will be disposable and therefore will not be returned at the end of the race.

29 – Complaints

Any complaints regarding the ranking must be presented within 30 minutes of the display
of the official ranking, in the first instance verbally to the Arrival Judge and in the second instance in writing to the Appeal Judge, accompanied by the fee of €100.00 which will be refunded in the case of acceptance of the complaint. For anything not expressly provided for, please refer to the general regulations of FIDAL and RTI 

30 – Supervening impossibility

In the event that the race is cancelled and/or postponed to another date, or in any case, not held for causes or reasons not attributable and/or not attributable to the will of the Organisation, including the revocation of the authorisation to hold the race by the competent Public Bodies, the participant will have nothing to claim from Atleticom SSDrL either for the return of the amount paid for registration, or by way of reimbursement of any expenses incurred or to be incurred.

The registration has the value of acceptance of this clause and as an express waiver of any claim resulting from the cancellation and/or postponement of the race, whether relating to compensation for any damage suffered or to be suffered and/or for indemnity and/or for any other reintegrating and/or satisfactory claim for any pecuniary or non-pecuniary prejudice suffered or to be suffered.


31 – Participant's Responsibilities

The member is responsible for the ownership and safekeeping of his/her race bib, the display of which guarantees the right to use all the services mentioned in this regulation and subsequently communicated.

1. Anyone who, without regular registration, participates without a bib, in addition to being held responsible for damage to people or things, including himself, will incur sporting sanctions under the jurisdiction of the federal bodies and may be liable to the criminal sanctions provided for the crime of " theft” (art. 524 of the criminal code).

2. Anyone who, without regular registration, participates with a counterfeit bib or in any case not compliant with the assignment, or with a bib of someone else, in addition to being responsible as indicated above, will incur sporting sanctions and, furthermore, may be liable to the criminal sanctions provided for for the crime of "theft" (art. 524 of the criminal code), or, alternatively, for the crime of fraud (art. 540 of the criminal code).

In cases 1) and 2) the participants may be liable to the sanctions provided for the crime of "failure to comply with the provisions of the Authorities" (art. 550 of the criminal code). The aforementioned cases will be found after checking photographic and/or video documentation.

It is forbidden to enter grids other than those assigned at the time of registration, as well as to throw, inside the starting grids and on the race course, t-shirts, capes or any other object that could cause obstruction or the fall of the athletes they pass subsequently. In case of violation, the athlete will be held responsible for the damages caused, with consequent actions in both criminal and civil courts.

It is forbidden to "cut" the established route and/or take shortcuts and/or enter the race route from a different point than the starting line. Failure to comply with this obligation will result in the disqualification of the athlete, as well as his liability for any damage caused to third parties.

32 – Exemption from Liability

By registering for We Run Rome the participant accepts this regulation in its entirety and expressly declares to assume all risks deriving from participation in the event, such as, by way of example, any falls, contact with vehicles and/or with other participants, spectators or otherwise, adverse weather conditions, road surface conditions, and any other different type of risk. As a consequence of this acceptance, the organizing body and the individual subjects who participated in the organization of the sporting event are expressly exempted from any liability for any damage or harm resulting from participation in the event.

33 – Final warnings

The Organizing Committee reserves the right, also subject to authorization from the Lazio CR and the National FIDAL, to modify these regulations at any time for reasons it deems appropriate for better organization of the race.

For anything not provided for in this regulation, the technical statutory regulations of FIDAL and GGG apply. Any changes to services, places and times will be appropriately communicated to registered athletes via the event website www.werunrome.com or through the official Facebook page.
